Our school has signed agreements of partnership and mutual cooperation with several schools abroad.
We run active partnership with Secondary Grammar School in Lichtenfels (Meranier Gymnasium – Germany), Secondary Grammar School in Bochum (Gymnasium Bochum – Germany) and Secondary Grammar School in Pontarliere (Lycée de Pontarlier – France). All these relationships last for more than 17 years. We organise regular exchange of students both individuals and groups. Our students meet at school, in families, at sport.
Regular visits of Czech and foreign students are organised minimum once a year and very often they create friendship which lasts for years. It is not an exception that the students meet individually in summer holidays or come to enjoy the school graduation ball with their friends.
Let´s look more in detail at some activities:
In September 2008 our students were canoeing in Germany (Main, Regnitz..)with a group of students from Lichtenfels and in October the German students came to Vavřinecký potok.
At the beginning of May 22 students from Lichtenfels came to Český Brod with their teachers for a week to stay with our students and their families. Their activities are organised partly by school and partly by the families.
During the school year 5 exchange students from Český Brod and Bochum spent 3 weeks with their partners. During each stay they go to school and take part in the school programme. They live in families too.
Regular exchange with Pontarlier is organised every year or every other year depending on the number of students of French.
Our cooperation brings good results not only in improving the language skills but mainly it helps to create friendship and tolerance among the nations within the European Union.
